Beyond the Medals: Greenians Shine in Spirit and Growth at SWU PHINMA Trivia Night

CEBU, Philippines — True victory isn't always measured in gold or trophies; often, it is defined by the courage to step up, the passion to learn, and the relentless drive to grow.

Embodying this very spirit, fifteen outstanding students from the Green Rose Center for Academe, Inc. proudly raised the school's banner at the recent Senior High School Trivia Night, hosted by Southwestern University (SWU) PHINMA.

Competing in a massive field of over 400 students representing 21 schools across Cebu, the Greenian delegates met every academic challenge with sharp intellect, seamless teamwork, and unwavering determination. The high-stakes event tested far more than rote memorization—it pushed the participants' critical thinking, communication, and composure under pressure to the absolute limit.

A Night of Connections and Keen Competition
The event kicked off with an energetic round of "Human Bingo," an icebreaker that encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, network with peers from other institutions, and build camaraderie.

The academic action officially began with a fast-paced Kahoot preliminary round, featuring a diverse mix of trivia—from identifying global corporate logos to naming the country's top banana chip exporter. The intense evening culminated in a rigorous General Knowledge Quiz that tested the students' depth of knowledge across arts, music, history, science, current events, and logic.

While the team did not bring home a championship trophy this time, they returned with something far more enduring: newfound friendships, unforgettable memories, heightened confidence, and invaluable life lessons. Every question tackled and connection forged marked another milestone in their personal and academic growth.

"At Green Rose, we believe true success lies in the willingness to participate, the hunger to learn, and the resolve to continuously improve," the school administration shared in a statement of pride.
